How It Works
Sign up and upload your manuscript. We conduct an initial quality and integrity check, verify reviewer eligibility, and screen for conflicts of interest before assigning suitable experts.
Two qualified experts assess the manuscript in a structured, double-blind process over two rounds. Reviewers collaborate within the system, provide feedback, and follow scientific standards. Authors can follow progress and comments live on the platform. All identities remain anonymous until process completion.
A structured peer review report is generated, including reviewer assessments, scores, and relevance. This document reflects the scientific evaluation of the manuscript without accept/reject decisions.
You receive a publication-ready manuscript together with the official peer review report. You can publish your manuscript on any platform of your choice or submit it to a journal. The peer review report is published on our website. Readers can directly access your report from our search engine or your manuscript, and receive background information and verify the quality of your work.
Benefits
Faster Path to Publication
Reduce time to publication, lengthy review cycles, repeated submissions to multiple journals, and delays that can diminish the relevance and impact of your research.
Protect Quality and Reputation
Provide transparent evidence that your work meets scientific standards and has undergone all necessary steps for safe academic publishing.
Focus on the Science
We keep the science at the center of the review, and evaluate your research based on its merit and rigor, rather than formatting, presentation, or publication-specific constraints.
About Us
Sci Check originated as a research project at UCL Institute of Education and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Today, we build infrastructure that makes scientific publishing more independent, transparent, and accessible worldwide.
Our Mission
To cultivate a healthy ecosystem for scientists with scientists — supporting open access to research, building trust in science, and creating fair conditions for the research community and their institutions.
Our Approach
We focus on strengthening the foundations of scientific communication by providing independent peer review as a neutral layer of validation. This supports open publishing models and platforms, while improving credibility, safety, and trust.
Our Commitment
We actively support Diamond Open Access and Open Science principles, and are committed to fair compensation for reviewers and constructive solutions for the research community. We reinvest 70% of our net profits into open science infrastructure, research, and community-driven initiatives that improve the global publishing ecosystem.
